Join natural building and civil engineer, Francesco Zurzolo of Elm Natural Building for this hands-on Hempcrete project. Learn the basics of cast-in-place hempcrete building. Francesco will walk you through the structural requirements, forming, mixing, placing and curing of a real hempcrete project — in other words, you’re gonna actually build something!
Hands-on: Participants will get their hands into a real-life hempcrete project.
Accessibility: This workshop takes place outdoors on mown pasture or under an outdoor shelter on grass or pine-needle forest floor (not as pokey as it sounds). We can have a desk and chair available at the workshop space upon request in the event it is not accessible for a participant to sit on the ground or on a hay bale.
