Thank you to each and every fest-goer who came out to the farm and brought love and life along to infuse into this place and event. It was truly amazing to share this space with you all, and to hear from so many of you what a salve to the soul it was to spend time on the farm. That alone makes it worth producing this event!
A huge thanks to every volunteer, coordinator, teacher, sponsor, musician, food and market vendor, friend and family member who poured time and love into crafting a magical weekend.
We truly hope that each of you fest-goers were nourished – by being steeped in learning, community, and connection with the land. Thank you for being a part of this fest family! If you have photos or videos to share, please tag @diyfest on Instagram, and DIY Homesteader Festival on Facebook. Or, send us an email with your photos and we’ll share our top picks and tag you!
As we meander back into the regular homestead life that was on pause for spring and summer fest prep – tending to gardens, getting to know the new hens, and focusing in on the kids’ summer to-do list, we’re also easing into reflection on the 2019 fest, and visions for a 2020 fest! Yes! An awesome early bird deal on tickets for August 8 & 9, 2020 should be available soon. We’ll also be sending out a survey so you can share your favourite elements of this year’s event, and your wish-list of refinements and workshop topics and teachers for next summer.
